Anton Corbijn Retrospective
ANTON CORBIJN (1955, the Netherlands) became known in the 70s and 80s as a photographer of mucisians, most notably U2, David Bowie and Miles Davis. Since then, he has photographed artists of various disciplines, including Allen Ginsberg, Isebella Rossellini, Clint Eastwood and Björk.
In addition to his work in photography, he has directed numerous videos, designed stages and worked as a graphic designer. His acclaimed first feature film Control premiered in 2007.
Corbijn's work has evolved from a documentary-based approach towards a more conceptual one.
Anton Corbijn's retrospective exhibition at Art Museum Tennis Palace includes over 170 photographs from 1970s to 2000's. Most artworks have been published in the following four books: Famouz (1989); Star Trak (1996); 33 Still Lives (1999); a. somebody (2002).
