Cultural cooperation programme PKP

In the sphere of cultural cooperation the Embassy has some funds available to support cultural exchange activities between the Netherlands and Finland.

More extended cultural cooperation between institutions or artists from Finland and their counterparts in the Netherlands is also realized with support from the following Dutch institutes and foundations which administer funding in their specific sphere of art:

Cultural Cooperation Programme PKP

Funding criteria
A project proposal for financing under the cultural cooperation programme should correspond to the following criteria:

  • the project must contribute to strengthening the cultural cooperation between the Netherlands and Finland
  • the project must be accessible for the Finnish public
  • the project must be of sufficient quality by both local and Dutch cultural standards
  • the initiative and application must - in general - come from a local organization which will be responsible for implementation of the project
  • the project must be non-profit

Costs that can qualify for (partial) funding are for example travel and accommodation costs of Dutch participants, PR costs and transportation costs. Please note that the Embassy does not finance per diems, honoraria or fees.

Applications
Applications should be sent to:
Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
attn. Jonna Suni
P.O. Box 886
00101 Helsinki, Finland

Please use the standard Microsoft Word document application form. Applications can be submitted all year round, but should reach the Embassy at least 6 weeks prior to the event. The Embassy cannot support events that are already underway or have passed.

Assesment and payment
Applications are assessed as soon as possible. In case of a positive assessment, the Embassy prepares a grant decision, which is sent to the applicant. Usually the grant will be paid in two instalments. The first installment of 80% of the grant will be transferred to the applicant’s bank account within four weeks after the signing of the grant decision. The second instalment of 20% will be transferred after the Embassy has received the required final report and financial statement.

The Embassy's contribution is a one-off payment, meaning that no additional funding can be provided.

Follow-up
In most cases, one final report (covering content and financial aspects) is expected from the applicant for the whole project period and the total budget of the project. The report must reflect the content and expected follow-up of the project. For all the expenses made within the project, corresponding payment copies must be presented.
